Just got the update to go through the TND to go through but at the bottom of the release notes it says

If you have a TND 510 or 710 or have purchased data .... Etc

How do you purchase data , my TND 500 seems to have updated it now prompts my if I'm loaded or empty etc but how would I know if I need to purchase data
If I need to purchase data to get my 500 to preform better I'd be glad to do so

    Thanks

    Jason

Let me update my Dock to 2.0.8. I was testing on an older Dock version for some prior update issues. Then I will see what happens...

You should be on version 11.419.1959 now.

    Thanks,
    Mark

You should have not been able to connect to the Dock for updates.

This is a brief summary of what happens on an Update.

You connect your TND to the computer. The TND Dock appears (1). Down at the bottom of the TND Dock it should show IntelliRoute Connected in Orange (2). The TND Dock now sees the device ID of the connected TND. This is recorded in the log files (C:\logs) on your computer. You hit the update button and the TND Dock relay's the Device ID back to the Production Server. Based upon the device ID the Production server will compare the files on the server and the files that reside on your computer in your user folder (hidden). Any file difference the server will push to the Component Cach folder on your computer. Once that is done the Dock will ask to Sync to your TND. It will then copy the "changed files" over to your TND.

1 - To stop this from automatically popping up on your computer boot up - Go to your start up menu and type in MSCONFIG. On the Tab (startup) find the TND Dock and uncheck it. Hit apply/ok. Create a shortcut for the TND Dock on your desktop to access the Dock.

2 - The TND has to fully boot up to create a Device ID in a file that the Dock looks for. If you do not see it connected try to exit the Dock - bottom right of your monitor you should see a little snowflake. Right click and exit. Now go to your start up menu and find the TND Dock shortcut to start the Dock again. If it still does not show connected then does the TND show as an external drive? If so, then you have a file issue. If the TND does not show connected then you have a connection issue. If you have the latter contact me.

    Thanks.

My 710 crapped out on me last week. I've had it for two months before it died. The whole time I had it I had problems mostly with it freezing up. Before it died, the screen was flickering and then went black. Now it won't start.
