Just curious.....what is the longest you have been overdue for hometime before they finally get you home?

Little over a week. Happened twice. Both times I was trying to get to Florida in February.

Hmmm. Normal situations was 3 days. The worst was a week and a half. But that was partly due to my truck having Lo pro tires and no one in El Paso had them. The shop boss bent over backwards to get the tires and me down the road. I was impressed.

3 days late getting home? A week?! NEVER! The most I would ever accept would be a day, and that would only depend on circumstances.

The planners may send you the loads, but you are in charge of your truck. If you are trying to get home and they offer you a load going in the wrong direction, don't accept it and mark hometime as a reason. After 2 or 3 times, they will get the clue. And don't wait until the last day before you are due home to try to get home if you are 1000 miles from home. Plan ahead.

it can go either way,if you don't make a big deal out of it they can keep pushing you around the country until you either let your dm know,or like was stated before, hit that hometime request when refusing a load going in the wrong way from home....................might work like a charm?

And have you said anything to your DM about being out past your set hometime? You did send a MAC8 to set your hometime didn't you? If you didn't, then the planners don't know when you want to be home. If you did set your hometime and you don't say anything about being out past it, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

After two weeks past due, it's time to speak up. Heck, after a day or two, I would be raisin' heck.
