Ya I'm the same way. In the winter you can wrap your self in a heavy blanket or cold weather sleeping bag. In the summer a fan is good until it gets really hot, then I'll just have to idle.
Do you open your windows at all or use those screens? I think that would be to much of a security issue.

Does anyone out there know where a driver with a 2yr old rollover accident can find work?

On that DD15. I have talked to allot of people that loved the power of the engine on grades. I am wondering if they turned down the HP and TQ too much. It is odd to find something so different between peoples comments on the same engine.
On the cummins. I have had no oil issues at all. We do have a string of trucks that are going thru 1 gal of antifreeze a day at the moment. I just heard about this the other day from a few drivers.
Not sure what the part is they are replacing. All I know is that it is behind the lower frame rail behind the washer fluid fill area. Some kind of filter for the cooling system is what the driver that had his fixed said.
After reading on this forum for several years. And talking to drivers at many company's. I am starting to think that the best way to buy a truck, if you do not have any money.
Is to do it at Crete. Starting with one of their old company trucks.
Though I think I would still go the same route that you mention if I ever do it. I will buy a pre-emission truck and make some serious money. Just there are a limited number of company's that will take a 2004 or older truck. I know Central has a limit at lease on of like 4 years. And heartland where I am is limited at 8 years old at lease on.
Landstar has no limit. -
Maybe our truck is just great for pulling hills, but sick in other ways. I don't know. Anywhooo, the cummins guy told us the coolant issues usually have to do with the egr. Our new old one is a cummins 600 signature series engine, which we know will not burn fuel as effeciently, but no egr, dpf, def crap.

Yeah it's almost here. So found out Tuesday that I can start training on Monday and it has been a long week. So much anticipation but it is now Sunday so one day left and Monday morning bright and early I can finally start training.
