I'm in it for the first year, come what may. My threshold for bulls**t is higher than most. They want me to drive, I'll drive. Sit around, I'll sit around -- in the dock or at home. The whole thing is about working your way up. After a year, I'll find a better company -- but there's no reason to rule out being happy at Schneider. We'll see.

I am part owner in a local store. One of the other owners husband drove for schneider for 15 years team till his son ditched the truck, then solo.
His cousin drive OO and he is 79 yes he still passes the phyisical.
I drive local but hear alot of good from drivers for schneider. -
As one newspaper described the 664 tunnel: "One More Crossing, One Less Headache." -
You know, my only real worry in all this are logbooks. I don't understand the system at all. Not very good at abstract reasoning. -
Read the post by logsus I think.
At first it seems crazy then it starts to make sense. -

Tried applying with Schneider last week, apparently the recruiter tried to call once the next day when I was at the grocery store and I missed her call. I called back the next day and the recruiter was "well we tried calling you yesterday" and I was "well I am calling you back to get a job at Schneider" the recruiter was talking as if I was waisting her time is how I felt. She asked the regular "Do you have any felonies, do you have any accidents, do you have a traffic history?" (I do have one speeding ticket in the past 10 yrs but that shouldn't be a problem). So she sets me up for a phone interview a week later (tomorrow in fact). They dont seem to be in need of any new bodies, not very enthusiastic about signing me up like other companies have been, I am really needing to start soon though and this recruiter has me perplexed.. Anyone have a more enthusiatic recruiter I can talk to at Schneider?

then dont go there k7.if u were already treated that way by their recruiter, how much more if you're already starting to drive for them?remember that it is from u where that recruiter gets his/her paycheck from.tons of companies out there that will treat us better.

There isn't much that they can tell you anyway, other than where you will be attending orientation.
The pay and benefits, and any other information you need is there on the company website. All the recruiter is there for is to talk it up and make it sound better.
