Step father drove for 40 years ... said the best thing about a CB was the off switch.

to answer your question....Swift has no problem with CBs....it's the driver that probably got sick and tired of hearing all the Swift jokes and now refuses to have or use one!

There was a time that Swift would put a CB in the rig....just one big enough to talk to the shipper/receiver if needed.

And that is why no one should be running a 32-pill amplifier!:biggrin_25522:

I run one all the time. As to hazmat I saw a Swifty smoking while pretripping a flammable load. Not the best way to find a leak.

If the placard was still missing the following day, the guy is a putz and didn't bother to even perform a walk-around.

Baz, aren't you going to be working for ...Swift? It's not "they" any more. For you, it's "we."

I have a CB. Just a lil bench-tuned Cobra, nothin fancy. Any more, it's off most of the time. I don't miiss such informative statements as, "I ain't got no panties on;" useful queries like, "Where's the commercial?" and intelligent conversation among drivers describing the young women driving past in cars. Sheesh. No wonder the general public thinks most trucker men are dogs!

CB radios have no positive influence in trucking. They have no purpose at all except to entertain stupid humans. If you like your CB radio, that's cool- I hear Jerry Springer has one.

Oh, and George Bush likes his CB, too.
