Hey guys, I'm here to clarify the linking to other forum policy. If the link is helpful and relevant to answering a question, for instance: "Does anyone know how to fight a speeding ticket in TN?" and someone replies with, "There is a great thread about it on FakeTruckingForum.com/speeding-tickers/" that would be fine.

If a member was adding threads and posts just to promote other trucking forums, that would have to stop.

For the purposes of this thread, linking to other trucking forums falls into a grey area between the two examples. Other trucking forums wouldn't allow it, but personally I don't see much harm in it. If somebody prefers a different trucking community to this one, who am I to get in the way?

This was a rambling way of saying go ahead and link :biggrin_25525:

yeah i am glad you responded. as i said some sites i have been at simply forbid such links (to other forums, and people HAVE BEEN BANNED for such), but it's good to see that you are ok with this as sometimes not every website forum will have all the answers.

thanks for your response to my inquiry..

Yeah it is generally bad form to post links to other forums of the same subject matter. I asked for informational sites like magazines. But then again I belong to several gamer forums that partnered together as regional sister sites.

In any case I like it here and this is the first place I check every day. But it is a long day waiting for a trainer and I like to read as much as possible so I need some supplemental sites to feed my hungry brain lol.

    Sean of the dead :biggrin_25514:

Did you know all the zombies in that movie were twins? Every one...err...pair.

I am a bit of a zombie fanatic, check out games like left for dead if you like good zombie survival games, or dead rising 2 if you just want to have fun. In dead risaing 2 I dressed my guy in leather vest and chaps and beat zombies to death with a female "massager" hehe

    Gravdigr --

If you like to read and you'd like to learn more about the trucking industry and the trucking life, try these books. You can find all of them at Amazon.

Truck Stop by Bryan Di Salvatore and Marc F. Wise.

Pedal To The Metal by Lawrence J. Ouellet.

"A Fleet Of One" in Uncommon Carriers by John McPhee.

Both Sweatshops On Wheels by Michael Belzer and Trucking Country by Shane Hamilton are pure history and a bit dry, but I liked 'em.

In The Driver's Seat -- Interstate Trucking, a Journey by yours truly.

BTW, I used to play "House of the Dead" at truck stops. Man, I always got slaughtered by the zombies, but I had a great time!

Also, for laughs check out "FPSRussia" on YouTube. He's got a zombie clip or two.

    Gears Thanks this.
