They are aware of this issue. No fix.

Also, I suggested the air switches be located in the front or inside side of the seat instead of the outer edge. Supposedly a new seat is in the works that will permit mounting the switches in different locations.

When I 1st drove back in the early 90s, my truck had a metal front mounted height valve. Never broke, always worked...

KW had some caloric challenged tech work on my truck and when he got out, he scrubbed his WIDE LOAD over my switches and busted the height adjustment. Naturally I made KW replace that at their expense.

What dealer gave you those numbers on the ISRI seat? I have talked to the dealer I usually deal with but they dont seem to interested in getting a price for me. I talked to Suburban seating in Jersy they had 1 on stock for the low price of $1800. That was loaded with heat and a/c plus a few other things I dont need or want to pay for.

The ISRI seat I was quoted was the OEM KW unit. Not aftermarket:

..as you can see, it aint no premium 6860 ISRI seat.

My local KW Stealership quoted me $900 each delivered for this seat in the photo.
Its a nice seat but no heat/ac/massage or anything fancy.

I purchased my Sears Atlas 80 seats from my dealer for $735 each, July 2010.
Most dealers stick to near MSRP to sell these....sadly...but they dont HAVE to...there is no 'fixed price' on these.

PS. My wife flipped when I came home with 2 new seats. I was only going to buy the driver's side but
figured it wouldn't be right to not give HER a nice seat too....well, that didn't wash well....

Thanks, I figured it was 1 of the "cheaper" ISRIs. I want the 1 that has the adjustable shoulder/head rest. I've called the place in MI but we've been playing phone tag.

CIT in Bloomington IL has the Elite for $679. Figured I wouldn't walk out for less than a grand. And, no, the wife didn't get a new seat. But this week will be the first time she has riden with me.

:biggrin_2553:Just bought mine and installed it last weekend, so far im not impressed, my arse was more numb and sore today than it was with the old worn out factory K.W. seat. Also seat cushion doesnt go out far enough, im about 6' 3" and 260lbs. I guess ill deal with it till i can afford to swap it to passenger side and try to find something better that will match this one. I got the tan ultraleather.

Sears is going to send me 2 new shocks. One for each seat. They are not too hard to swap out and you do not need to remove the seat.....

Maybe that will fix this issue.....

This price is legit. I just called them to see what a set of seats would run my buddy....dam! - great price and nice service. I might use CIT for KW parts next....
