I am also a long time wrestling fan, and always thought it would be awesome to be a driver for them, or at least be a part of the ring set up crew. That would be an amazing thing to be a part of...
-
The ring is set up by the refs, the rest are road crew from either the lighting, or sound company, or from WWE themselves. It's not bad if you like working 20 hour days.

I stand corrected, I was thinking of when they changed from Janco to Stage Call, but at Wrestlemania, I was up to my ears in red Upstaging trucks for that show.
I just come in a couple of times a year, do my deal and get out. -
you are correct about there being upstaging trucks at wreslemania...probly because upstaging has the lighting contract..i was working with janco and hauled wwe for 2 years and wwf for almost 3 years..i was with them when janco lost the contract..i also understand that the wwe is NOT happy with stagecall and maybe headed back to janco...but thats just a rumor

dieselpowerrules......the LAST thing they want is a fan behind the scenes...besides you wont ever get to watch the show...youll be at the hotel or you WILL get fired
-
Rumors, what rumors????
That pretty much goes for any entertainment show/tour. -
Heard it was ALL ABOUT THE $$$ Turned it into a cheap tour...Drivers don't get anything now......
-
That's with alot of tours anymore, the economy has effected touring just like everyone else.
-
I used to work for a staging company. I talked to those drivers and they go out for over 6 months straight.
I actually built the WWE stage and did lights and sound before, which is how I met the truckers. Nice guys, but you could tell they work hard and stay away from home for long periods of time.
I forgot who they said they worked for. Pretty intense schedule for them, from what I remember...
I'm sorry I don't know more.
