Ok now we are getting somewere. You have reached a perfect swr on 20 and 40. . Still a little high on 1 but that is easily fixable. Just raise the whip slightly. go in either of an inch increments at a time. Check SWR each time you adjust the antenna whip.
The main thing is that the SWR is safe. I would not worry too much about the light as long as your swr is less then 2. Perfer it to be around 1.5 or less but less then 2 will not be damaging to the final in the radio.

I will make the new changes you suggested tomorrow. I talked with Cobra today and the Antenna Warning light was a false positive. He first told me that I would have to send the radio in to have it adjusted, then he offered to send me the directions on how to adjust it my self.
I made the adjustment to the radio and no more Antenna Warning. If anyone would like the nice PDF file with photos and very simple directions to fix this send me a PM and I would be glad to send it to you. This will work on the 29 LTD too, maybe some other Cobra 29's too.
Thank you folks for the help here. -

On a side note, I ride a Black Cherry 2006 Street Glide w/King Tour Pack. 103 Head Quarters Stroker Motor, Thunder Max Tuner, D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1 pipe. 10.5 compression, gear drive cams, DD6 Baker 6 speed tranny. Also a complete Hogg Tunes setup for the add on sound too. -
Made more adjustments today and all SWR readings are down around 1 or on the bottom of the scale.
Thank you all for the help here -
To the folks who said it could not be the mic. I disagree, I had gone through the same motions as hdrenegade. I finally stopped at a cb shop to get it checked out. The mic had a broken wire inside the connector to the cb. It was touching another wire and when you keyed up. It gave the red light antenna warning.
I did not say it was his problem and only suggested the possibility. Glad to hear you got it fixed. -
Thank you for the input on it, it could have been the mic too.

I don't know if someone has already answered you but I have the same CB and HAD the same problem. Here is the solution.
Run your coax out to a mirror mount for the antenna and get one of those $20 adjustable antennas from a truck stop.. It's thick and black but at the top it has a thin antenna that can slide in and out and tightens down with a hex wrench. Solved the problem and the SWR's are perfectly calibrated. -
I called Cobra, and the fix for mine was an internal adjustment. they sent me the PDF file on how to fix the issue. Thank you for the help. -
I am also thinking of possibly a cam swap at the time of the 95 install. I really like the 26s but they fall flat too quickly. They pull great through the mid range but fall off more then I care for on top.
I have no clue why I am doing the 95 in the first place. As it sits it will leave rubber on a hard roll on and it will do it through 3 gears. -
I am getting 115hp and 120tq with mine and with the Thunder Max Tuner I never have to go back on a Dyno again. Roll on Power Rocks!!
You might take a look at Bad Dad if want to change the rear around a little. Not sure if you have ever looked at Mean City Cycles or not, but he is my seat guy and uses a lot of Bad Dad after market parts on his Road Glide. He also does a fe parts from Paul Yaffey too.
I do love to ride when I can, and I am less then an hour from the Great Smokey Mtns and less then 10 minutes from getting on the Blue Ridge Parkway too.
