Yes there are some drivers clearing over 90k a year and at my terminal making over 100k . It can be done with seniority.

Just had a new guy get hired where I am hauling fuel. He was Conway TL then Conway LTL. He an several other have recently quit.

I got an email telling me about the openings. I am going to do the fuel instead.

There was a guy that just quit to move to Chitcago. He had been there 1 year. He was on days. Did work weekends. When I finish training it will be all nights for me for a while.

Seniority is what it is.. It's the way to make money and it's the way you work your way up the board.. If you constantly quit in search of greener pastures you'll never have it - I have it at Con-way Freight so that says something.. Stick it out, work your way up, and enjoy it when you get there but don't be a dick about it - just take what it gives you right..

It gives me 100K or more per year or a sweet shift if I so choose but I'll always remember where I started and understand the struggles.. Took me 7 years but I can now break 100K any year I want.. I took my 40K years in stride and wouldn't have it any other way now..

Thanks BigRon! Here's a question for any of the CWF drivers interested in responding...I'm living in the Joplin, Mo area right now and got hired on at a small terminal north of here with 16 doors...My intentions are to move further west, specifically San Diego. During my interview the terminal manager brought up the point that CWF has terminals all over the US and if I wanted to transfer to another terminal it wasn't too terribly complex, so long as the terminal you're wanting to transfer to needs drivers. My question is, since I now have my foot in the door, and the name of the game is building up your seniority, what would be the min. amount of time I should put in here before requesting a transfer? It seems like the sooner the better since I'd want to build up my seniority at the location/terminal I plan on staying at...
