So I'm out on the road with a trainer and every time we fuel I use either a TCH or comdata card but before I even scan it my trainer would takes out his fuel bonus card and getting ready to swipe it as soon as I'm done swiping my fueling card, I mean I have my fuel bonus card too, but it seems as though the guy is super greedy :biggrin_25522: and wants points and I have no chance to swipe mine, but I'm gonna swipe mine next time, any opinions?

Yeah, I mean I got the card last week and never get a chance to swipe it, every time we fuel I take out my fueling card, my trainer would take out his bonus card, looking greedy as a pig, rushing to swipe it.

lol yea, that's what I fear too, and that's why I want opinions as whether to swipe it next time or not. And yea, all of the time to swipe mine when I go solo.

I agree with picking your battles. In this industry, trainers are sometimes just another obstacle to overcome.

You're in his truck...his home away from home. He has an obligation to train you properly and respect you. That's all.

Now, if you're fortunate, your trainer will be like mine was...he usually bought from 2 to 4 meals per week for me while we were together. More than offset any "card-swiping".

    Suck it up...it isn't forever.

Should you even be using YOUR comdata card to fuel your TRAINERS truck? I don't know how Roehl figures fuel usage, mileage, etc but I would think that the data from each comdata transaction would be used.

As for the points/shower credits - provided your trainer is using his card to get you showers - who cares? If you were alternating who gets the points you'd only be racking up a couple of bucks each week. If this is the worst thing about your trainer consider yourself lucky, bite your tongue and get through training.

his truck, let him have it all. someday you'll get your own truck and swipe away. start messing with the guy and i can assure you that he will find something WRONG with you and then you could be on the next bus home.

live with it. and basically, stop being a cry baby about it.

You are a guest on his truck... He is training you... His truck, his card...

This is a ridiculous reason to complain, you've got bigger things to worry about and learn.

When you get your own truck you can swipe away all you want.
