.25 x 4000 miles= $1000 gross
Its doesnt matter where you run, out west you'll make your money off miles, in the east you'll make it off the stops + miles.
You just need to run hard and work with dispatch to stay moveing...

As a van driver, I found that east coast dispatchers kept me moving better than west coast dispatchers, due to freight volumes. I'm on the flatbed side now, and I'm always moving. -
A few more questions.
Does W/S have open fuel cards or are your fuel stops dispatched?
Are tolls and scales paid by W/S or do they expect you to pay them and then get reimbursement?
On LTL who are the companies you deliver to and how many pieces per store? Just curious as I am 51 and in decent shape but want to make sure I have the physical ability to perform the job.
I live near Dalton, GA. Do you have to park the truck at the terminal or do you take it home when you are on hometime?
Thanks again. -
1. They tell us where to fuel but we can fuel anywhere that takes CheckCards
2. Yes we have EZPass for tolls, and they reinburse us for scales like every other truck company
3. We deliver to everything from LayZBoy stores to mom 'n pop furniture places to sky scrapers in big citys... you could have 1 peice or 200 peices..
4. You have to park at the terminal

TakenPictures_OTR and sal Thank this. -
Cool, thanks guys! Looks like it will be an easy enough transition.

its the exact same thing as a 13 but instead of haveing
R..1...3
L..2...4
on a 10 its:
R..2...4
1..3...5
and you dont split the top end like on a 13

first off, 4000 miles a week might be once in a blue moon if even possible. second, you'll never BRING HOME 1100 a week, not even close. third, W/S trucks are crap and dangerous from what i hear. I know a guy that just quit after starting because it was nothing AmericanTrucker said it was... he's all over these forums tootin' W/S horns.... he's nothing but a recruiter, or gets kick backs from the company.... only way i'll believe A/T is seeing a paycheck stub!!!
walks like a duck, talks like a duck, MUST be a duck!
