Nice. It's going to be about 6 weeks before I can apply but I'm really hoping for Prime. It seems like they just have high quality training and pretty solid pay for starting drivers in comparison to the other options.

Hey guys. I'm wanting to get back into trucking now after being out of it for about 4 years. I do have about a years OTR solo experience and I do still have a class A CDL that will need only to be renewed in November. I'm just looking for suggestions as to good companies to drive for and also wanting to find out what will probably be expected of me concerning training. I have been told by one recruiter already that I'll need to be assigned to a driver mentor for 2-3 weeks before being assigned a truck of my own. If anyone has any more information I sure will appreciate hearing from you. Thanks in advance!

Hiring requirements change all the time, so given your particular situation, I would call a recruiter. -

Thanks Prostreet1 for the PM! I'm posting my "thanks" here because I haven't made enough posts to be allowed to send private messages yet. I'll be in touch with her soon and again, I do appreciate your help!

I'm a "B" seat in training in the flatbed division. I'm actuallly sitting in my trainers living room in Phoenix as I type on my BlackBerry.
There is freight in this area.... It just doesn't pay that well. -

Yes, Prime has its own CDL school. No, no drop yard in Richmond, no terminal anyway. Might be a place to drop an empty at a customer though, not sure.
