Please advise how to bump up the idle. I know *using the accelerator* but HOW do you really do it? There are other adjustments involved right? I will need to know this, for sure!![]()

Using the cruise control. -
I have an apu but it will shut off after a minute or two of using the a/c. the guys in gary said it was a bad sensor or something and they had to order it. Is there a way to idle until I can get into a terminal to get it fixed?
-
Are you getting a fault code on the APU?
-
Try putting something on the accelerator to keep the rpms about 6000. I spent ten bucks for a throttle stick. Comes in real handy when the apu goes down. You might have to release the tractor brake as well.
-
. Mine only reads up to 3000, you must have jet engines on that bad boy.
-
Sorry, make that 600. If you are going to idle you want to get it above normal idle otherwise it does bad things to the engine. (of course 6000 should really mess with a newbie's mind.)

2) Idle the engine using the throttle stick at 600rpm's.
This will keep your a/c running while you sleep without cutting off? If there's anything else I need to set or adjust please advise. I know they won't be too happy with me during the hot months. But I have to sleep.Last edited: Jul 5, 2011
