I don't know much about the politics of the deal, I just want to learn the trade and start hauling freight and making money. I am sure a trainer will come along eventually. I am so anxious to get started.

 

Oh, I hear ya. Nothing to do with you, but the new training policy turned a lot of trainers off apparently. I'm guessing that might be why you are waiting.

 

Sounds like Foxfire called that one right. Wonder when the guy, with the bright idea. will get canned?

 

My husband also has a 10 speed Pete. His only complaint is the lack of storage/shelves. But since he got home today I think we got it set up pretty good. We had a tall and skinny plastic dresser thing that fit in one of the cupboards. I think he is going to keep his fridge on the passanger seat, it does not look that great but it is out of the way. He has always drove Freightliners so he is very pleased with his Pete. He picks up in Santa Maria, CA tomorrow then off to Nabraska.

 

All the Pete's are 10 spds but I have the only KW with a 10spd I think!...............lol

Storage space in the new KW is awesome!

 

UPDATE on the great tater load of 2011!

I got good news and bad news.......................

Walmart didn't refuse any of the taters upon inspection.................however, there was a 20 case OVERAGE so I am STILL stuck with taters on my trailer!

Sent multiple QC msgs and voice mails, still waiting for FM to tell me what to do and as of now I will not make it to my pick up tonight, I will be over my 14!

I will NEVER eat another potato again!....................lol

 

Hope I can get something with storage space.. I wonder what the guys who orders these trucks are thinking. Petes with one bed and no storage.. KW'S with two beds and tons of storage but with no tilt wheel and 8 and 10speeds trans.

Heck, just run into China Mart... I mean WalMart, grab a pot, a couple bottles of oil, and a knife. Sell hot french fries at the truck stop and pack your pockets with cash!
