We can't tell you much since there is a chunk of missing information. Stop sign ticket in 07 didn't cause loss of license, so what did you leave out? I'm guessing driving while suspended is frowned upon heavily in an industry of professional drivers. What got you suspended will be a big question too.

The rest of the story.
First, thank you all for your posting your advice/comments to my thread. There are many wise (and wiseassed) thoughts, and I've enjoyed them all
However I didn't get the information I was looking for. "Gee can you tell me where to buy the magic beans?"
In 11/05 I got a no registration tags ticket at Los Angeles Airport. I ignored it and although I bought the tags, I did not appear, show proof of correction or pay the fine ("Aw, to hell with em"). California DMV in their wisdom suspended my license, and sent notification via mail.
In 04/07 I got the failure to stop at the posted sign on a right turn, (1 point). The sheriff deputy seized my license and informed me that although it had been suspended previousy, I would get no ticket because DMV had no proof that I had knowledge of the suspension. Now I have been informed by a sworn CA police officer, so it is prima facia knowledge of suspension. ("Aw to hell with em")
In 02/09 I get stuck in a sobriety checkpoint and . . . oops, no license. Truck impounded, In custody for a few hours, and a "driving while suspended ticket" misdemeanor, (2 points). ("Aw to hell with em") I do not drink and never have used drugs or illegal substances. However there should be a law about driving while STUPID.
In early 2010 I get super good news and decide to change my lifestyle. (a) I got terminated from my job (10 years medium sized print shop foreman) (b) resolve my DMV issues and get a class 'C' license (c) Resolve issues with my adult children and ask and receive forgiveness.
(d) let the owner, my boss know that I didn't like the company policy, his sexist, racist, hateful views, and in fact him personally. (Gee, I wonder why I got canned)
The good news . . . I "05" I was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I went through 3 years of Chemo-therapy, Radiation-therapy and finally Surgery (Radical Neck Dissection). I had pretty much given up hope, pissed off at everyone/everything. Failed my wife of 40+ years and children and joined the PLOM club (poor little ole me). That ain't good news!
I went in remission. Complete remission for 28 months. That a lifetime for people with a death sentence
What I want from you all is your experience regarding getting work with DMV baggage. The tickets are more than 3+ years and 1+ years respectively but the adjudication (conviction date) is only 10 months old. I am going to acquire the class "A" license with endorsements, that is a given. Why, because it's something I have always wanted to do.
So, what do you think. Might I find work. . . . Steveo
p.s., I've got pretty thick skin. I don't mind the slings and arrows of you loudmouthed, redneck, fat bellied, tobacco chewing, ugly, overly tattooed, truck drivers.
Most of you are smarter than me. Nobody is so dumb as old driving while stupid Steveo -
Well, it's pretty simple...drive legally, do the speed limit, don't cheat on your logs, refuse to drive equipment that doesn't meet DOT standards...I know some people will tell you how impossible that is, but really it isn't. I have 35+ years, no tickets, no accidents. And I am far from the only one with a record like that. When I started many years ago, a driver that taught me the ropes told me one thing that has stayed with me through the years. "The ONLY thing you have to sell is your license-PROTECT IT at all costs"..I took that advice to heart and it has proven to be true.
Civilservant Thanks this. -

So, you're asking a question of people, then radically insulting them? How's that going to work out for you?
outerspacehillbilly, bulletproof77 and Laner99 Thank this. -
Sounds like you have some stereotypes in mind of what truckers are.bulletproof77, Laner99 and outerspacehillbilly Thank this.
