i felt like the ocala terminal was kinda crappy compared to some of there other ones. but as for the miles i really didnt think they were there. me being from mass they were giving me alot of northeast loads basically just in time loads everything was like 150 to 300 mile trips. i remeber one day when i was working for them i was parked at a truck stop waiting for a load all night until the next day and honestly the only thing they had me to do was go to a customers site and pick up a damaged trailer and take it to there terminal close by i mad honestly like 30 bucks that day it was such a joke. you will not get the runs that youll get when youre with a trainer obviously but that will leave you disapointed

 

I'm getting close to 10k a month now. My DM ramps up the new drivers slow so we don't burn out. He has over 12 drivers that do over 10k a month consistently. Considering I have 8 months solo now I am happy with my miles. Been steady and climbing.

 

I have been averaging 3200 a week if that helps. In addition, your mentor time should only be 50h, which should be about a week ., not 2.

My husband is finishing up orientation with them now. You would be with a trainer for 2 weeks. You'd get paid $500. They take out $80, in $10 increments, for some kingpin locks, from your check. You get a driver code Thurs or Fri and go out if there are enough trucks & trainers to go around. Worse case, you get sent home for the weekend. They require 2200 - 2500 miles per week so I'd assume they have those miles to give. You have to set up direct deposit online and get your W-4's filled out online after you're given your code and sent with a trainer. I always thought W-4's had to be done before getting paid....maybe I'm wrong. You would have to be on a "family plan" for 90 days. This means you'll go out for 12 days and can be home for 2-12 days but you have to empty your truck and leave it at the terminal (if you live less than 100 miles from the terminal). After 90 you can switch to the 14/2 plan and keep your truck. If you live more than 100 miles away you are given the option of family plan or 14 out/2 home.
