We buy 10 cartons every time we go thru Joplin. Marlboro Special Blends are $29 there. Usually have 20 cartons or so in a plastic box on the top bunk.
Yeah, I think there's a limit. But who's gonna know? There's a sign at the IL state line on I-280 up by Quad Cities, when you come in from Iowa. It says "Cigarette bootlegging" at the top and a bunch of small words underneath that you can't read. I went by it so many times and can never read what it says at 65 mph, so one day I snapped a picture. Pic turned out blurry so next time I just pulled over. Basically it says they'll commit acts of tyranny if you attempt to "smuggle" cigarettes into the Peoples Republic of Illinois to avoid paying their punitive taxation on cigarettes. The state of IL can kiss my big white hairy ###. I "smuggle" mine in from Missouri, 2 or 3 cartons every time. It's the cheapest I've seen them in the area my company usually runs me.
I heard name brand smokes are going for $8-$10/pack in NY. Heard the hustlers were selling bootleg cartons in the alleys. Thats just crazy. But what are you going to do either pay or quit. I quit for a year once, wish I'd never started back. Didn't see all the savings you hear so much about. My beer bill just went up ya know.

Limit is supposedly 5 cartons from a sign in Dirt Cheap in MO I live in IL and go to MO and get mine cartons in IL are $50 in St Louis area and I get Marlboro Special Blend for $37 with tax.
Florida smokes are pretty high if you get name brand, if you are looking at the make your own smokes from the machines the carton price is 24.50 plus tax at Tobacco road stores around Tampa.
I always have found the prices of marlboros in Virginia relatively cheap. Bought a carton last week for 33 plus tax
I don't smoke but I noticed that most of the Pilots in GA had Marlboro Special Blends for $28 a carton.
