I take your point, if Europe had larger trucks and you can't use them your international hauliers would get hurt, I see exactly what you mean, it wouldn't be a fair playing field anymore

Yup holland are running lzv for years now without problems, always the same with Germans : over regulate everything , same type of thinking as the English , before the 44 ton limit it was 40 for us in Ireland but the english would only allow 38, now it's 44 we can only transit with 6 axles, I think they are trying to stamp out the competition

i was not think on that

but here mostly trucks are driven off highway and driving such long and heavy truck off highway is not possible even those today 16.5m tractor-semitrailer take often 2 lanes on those roads also on many loading/unloading places it would not be able to get inside

in my opinion here in my country is best something like norway have 50t on 6axle

    or 52on 7

good maneuverability great possibility for reversing pretty safe ( our roads are mainly not cleaned during winter) ....

98989 and Pablo-UA, you guys in my eyes are what I call real truckers, no worrying about image, looks or tradition, just get stuck in there and get the job done, that's what it's all about, bringing home the fruits of your labour so you and your families can have a better life, that's what we all want huh?

they can very hardly do that but still can

for example tipper body of 30m3 on 4axle tipper scania with heaviest bogie (bt300b) and reinforced suspension

also many of mercedes 4144 8x6 with 36ton bogie with 20m3 tipper body and 13m3 trailer often have 100t .....

this logger as 110+- ton is 6x6 man and 3axle trailer with twin tires .....
