we are just real only interest is profit ....

here financial situation in transport is not good we try to cut our costs as much we can

i am big fan of older trucks but they are no longer cost-effective except in construction

also they are good for driving only sometimes

US truckers will need to adopt in way like we have really soon i have contact with some owner operators and drivers from my region in US

and all of them says that situation is not good

so here we dont have much space for something nice looking or good equipped like in other EU countries

here average new scania is g420 sometimes g400 or g440

but mainly 420 because it is 1000€ cheaper than 400.....

    so we look at everything

people dont use freeways because of expensive tool

so before 10-15 and 20 years our transport was much better than today

before 20years transport prices were lot better

for example no one wants to work if 3axle tipper wont earn 1000DEM per day and fuel was 4-5 times cheaper

today we are happy if we can make 150-180€ per day ( total earn with fuel .....so when you remove your costs earning is so much smaller than it used to before) and we do it today with 4axle tipper so caring more load......

same situation will happens soon in US

it is globalization here many owner operators and small companies will soon disappear when we get into EU than polish , romanian and bulgarian companies will close us

for example registration for truck and trailer in polland is 800€ here is 4000€ , polish companies have benefits on fuel given by their country so their expenses are lot smaller than here same will happen in US when big companies start to replace their trucks in mexico ......

i know that but this is not for everyone

so we have now fine for overloading 2000€ for 600kg but companies in ownership of politicians dont have those problems

you can see everything from 7axle combos 25ton on drive axle ....or anything

this 110-115 ton is by my cousin in forest only driven locally

This is where you guy get lost. You are so obsessed with money you are blind to anything else, this is what makes this argument so difficult. You are obsessed.

Thats what I'm saying. You have lost sense of pleasure from driving - all you want is money - you just said so, didn't you?

I liked your plan a lot and I'm not sure why you gave up already. VT880 would look amazing - on Euro roads for sure. You would make it to BLB in no time, true advertising. I didn't insult anyone, you misreading my writing because you all don't know American reality a bit and its not that easy to explain it. The way the immigration system works in US is skewed and screwed - it's all about importing cheap (uneducated) labor, that's why Americans hate it. Because it's set up against them in a way they are being replaced because they are too expensive. In their own country. So, they are pissed off, however they still welcome every good man with balls who would come over work hard and obey strong values. It's all complicated, but it is not about money at all

so our truck now works 24/7 and it cant earn 150€ of clean money ( with payed fuel) per day

but tires are big problem because lot of rocks in week it damaged 4tires ( they were all new before job)

and you have to pay hotel food driver and such things from this

drivers are 2€/h hotel is 200€ per month

but things like mobile phone bills are expensive minute of call is 3€ in roaming (trucks working in youngest european county they will be there for 2.5years) currently my father works 16hours and rest of it driver

98989's business is logtrucking. I'm a highway man.

I used to haul in refer and in tint. Logging is the other game. Like dumptrucking too.

There are too many scales on Ukrainian roads, too many height check points, so I cant tow overload ore oversize so easily like to haul wood in a forest. I cant use longer the standard trailers.

Later I will do international trucking, with Tachograph, so what 24/7??? Tachograph is no a logbook. Less chanses for cheating!

Well I gave up mostly cos of jacko, he's living over there , thinks the classics are rubbish Eventhough u say they are the best, given he said he's worked in Oz , euros and American side by side, still thinks scania is much better, he drove the 620, newer and better than mine and tells ius yee can't compete! Also the diesel figures, that's of course a big no no here, you are right the advertising would be brilliant, supermacs ( a fast food chain here) had an American classic style truck in their home town for a promotion, it caused a 13 mile tailback, that's the advertising I was seeking but at that cost , no way, too much fuel, and given jacko seems to know what he's talking about and you have only ever have American rigs I'll stick with what he said, he seems more clued in

i would rather call this reality than obsessed

here trucking is no longer pleasure it was 20-25years ago when we was in socialism , it was no longer profitable like Scania man talks about

it is now just surviving nothing else

have you ever thought on this that you have to wait 2-3years to get your earned money? we have some jobs from 1997 which are still not payed ....

and in meantime your expenses starting to grow and when you finally get your hard earned money nothing left because of interest rates( from country ) because we cant pay our obligations tax health and pension insurance on time

have you ever thought that you have to work somewhere just for fuel because you are afraid to fill your own fuel because you know they will not ever pay to you.......and with that fuel you earn work on other jobs

    and lot of other things

i am afraid that this will also be soon in US , globalisation is serious thing

but back in good time of our transport my father have drivers he dont want to drive he had always good almost new german trucks (at that time no one have scania/volvo here) he had new bmw , sleeping in hotels drinking all night with other owners live music .... pretty often using airplane

so being truck driver/owner was one of best kind of life

today truck owner and both drivers are in poverty .....
