Another Stevens guy I remember was Bill Montgomery. That guy was a human road atlas. He could route you without looking at a map. He was the trainee team fleet manager when I was there. He was a big guy. I was told he is on the Big Texan Steak Ranch hall of fame for winning the free steak twice. He came with the Stevens terminal when they bought it from another company.

I think the Sr drivers are caught up in the training company mentality. Stevens treats all drivers as though they are the new guy on his first day solo. The lowest denominator, it is interesting that they do not have a way for an experienced driver to step up and away from the training system.

Well, you have to remember... Stevens IS a training company.
Their business model is to train new drivers.
As far as getting off the yard, if it's just a 90 day trip here, I'm usually off within two days.
    No big deal.

    Dryver Thanks this.

Kraft in Champaign sucks! Haven't been here since last summer with my trainer at the time. Remember a long wait, some things never change lol.

No different than sitting in some truck stop doing a reset.
Maybe you're a super trucker and can run 7days a week and 365 per year without wanting, much less needing a break.
    My hat's off to you!
So how many miles you doing? 4,000? 5,000? per week?
Heck...without needing breaks, you probably don't even need your 10!

Come on! Give us a break!
