hello fellow truckers. I've been noticing a strange vibration it shakes up my whole cab when I'm loaded going from 25-40 mph on 6th both High and Low sides. I thought It was the carrier bearing but when empty it does not shake like this. I've also taken the truck out of gear while its around those speeds I mentioned and it still shakes. Anybody every had this problem before?
Thank you
Strange Vibration when loaded

All of your drive tires even on tread ?
Even 1/2" on one will cause a good low speed shake
that feels like its something to do with the front end.
It only takes one mismatch to throw off your geometry -
well, i had a flat tire, but i plugged it up, all of the tires are pretty much even.
-
Did you re-balance after plugging? I never thought much of plugging a radial. Pull it and patch inside, then move that tire to the rear. Not a fan of running a "repaired" tire on steering.
-
No the problem is it jerks when its loaded from the rears my steer axle is fine
-
Sounds as if your axles are getting misaligned from the weight. Check all your rubber bushings, check the springs and mounts. Something is loose, as you add weight it is going out of alignment.
thesvg Thanks this. -
Check air ride height and drive shaft alignment.
BigJohn54 Thanks this. -
Yes, air ride height off just an 1/8" will put your driveline in a bind and cause a vibration. Depending on the truck, the rod can slip or get bent if it's a fixed rod.

well mine does the same. how do you know what ride height is supposed to be

Do a forum search, there is a thread on here somewhere telling you how to measure it. I cant post links with my phone or I would put it here for you.
If you have a suspension dump try dumping and recharging it to see if that helps.
Good Luck.
