Thats awesome man, you dont see Cardinals that much anymore. I too have about 1500 hours total, but about 500 of those are ultralights and dont count, but they count to me...lol. I dont have a private pilots license, I have my sport pilot rating, as well as my SP CFI with seaplane. When it came time to get my license I chose SP over private cause I was going to get grandfathered in cause of all my UL time. So all I had to do was go take my knowledge test and a flight examine and I was done. Then just this year I received my CFI in sport pilot. Within two years though I'm going to go ahead and get my private as well as my commercial. Again all I have to do is take another knowledge test and another flight examine and I'll have it.
Leave for WEL sunday night.

Good luck at WEL! There's a local guy I talked to, who likes WEL, been there a few years. Gets home 'bout every 10 days or so.

This layover at chicago sucks

I just started school and live in the tampa area so definately let us know how it goes!!! My turn to research them too

It's good to hear from a (newbie) driver from the southern half of Florida, and to learn that a reputable carrier has their Headquarters down here as well! I'm from the Fort Lauderdale area, and was wondering about the significance (viability; practicality) of an OTR driver hailing from the southern part of a peninsula that juts out several hundred miles into the Atlantic Ocean!
Where did you get your CDL/schooling? Does WEL have a CDL "academy?" What was the cost of the tuition?
Lastly, does WEL (and others; specifically those that have CDL "academies") do credit checks on newbie applicants?!?!?
Good luck and God-speed (traveling mercies upon your flight).
Ciao
PS: Oh yeah, does WEL - or others - have "Body-Mass Index" (BMI) specifications, and do they require applicants to have been employed the previous six months (particularly if carrier has an "academy")??
Thanks! -
Call WEL recruiter for info.......

Well guys WEL dismissed me today after filing out my paper application. The lady doing the filing noticed i had a misdemeanor and said WEL doesnt accept missdemenors younger then 7 years. I explained to her that I disclosed that information on the online app and she looked at me like I was lying. I said look it up and she did and just like i said it was on there...my recruiter made a mistake...so they kicked me out. At least they bought me a bus ticket home....I would still recommend WEL to anyone...they seem to be good and they did treat me right, and admitted the error and bought me a bus ticket home....oh well, its just a waste of time but a learning experience. Make sure to check everything before you go and double check so the same thing doesnt happen to you....next up Trans Am...lol.

Sux man,
please rethink transam.
