Glad you're feeling better kusanagi. Thanks for the tips guys. I'll probably stuff a couple half gallon jugs in a small duffle with my lunch and just refill my bottle. I'm on the move as of fri and am hoping to be in Cali by Sunday.

Good news and bad news. Good news is that I have a little over 100 hours so far behind the wheel, with a few runs to Denver and Utah! Bad news is even after taking the super medications they gave me, the cough is back full force along with a slight fever. I don't know what to do :(

I know that you're local and road to the academy everyday (like I'm gonna do starting next week).

Please explain "getting on the bus".

    Thanks,

Do you ride a bus to the terminal or school? If so look for the guy with a helmet.

There is a bus that picks you up near the entrance to the terminal and takes everyone back to the range area.

There are some desert related illnesses that present like pneumonia. If the cough is back, unfortunately, it's likely time to revisit the Doc. Could be something more serious, or simply an adjustment to your meds is needed. Also, on the brighter side, your body will cause you to cough after fighting of a monster illness to get the crap out. Anything you cough up now you should spit out rather than swallow... most likely laden with nasty stuff.

Good luck and feel better soon ... talk to the DM and explain the situation ... If you loose your mentor, that's okay, you'll get another one ... I think you've had the worst of the bunch anyway.:biggrin_25525:

It's called "Valley Fever". DO NOT take it lightly! Please get it checked out!

Got it checked out...they're switching up my antibiotics. The chest x-ray showed no fluid in my lungs, so no more pneumonia. He told me that it may be valley fever but they treat the symptoms and not the disease...just take some more OTC meds for the symptoms and get a few days of bed rest...

I'm paying for my own hotel room here for a few days. They aren't going to put me up again and were only going to get me a bus ticket home to get better, but the place they would have sent me isn't where my vehicle is parked so I have no way to get home from the bus station.

Any of you in Phoenix this weekend, let me know. I'll be going stir crazy, won't be contageous, and could handle going out to get a bite to eat...

And...I heard through the grapevine that my first mentor is no longer employed by Swift.

I'll be at the terminal tomorrow around 4am, they are making me take a class, so I should be around the drivers center.. Maybe even gather the courage up to grab some grub in the Jake Break..

Valley Fever is nothing to mess with, as stated.. Make sure the Dr. is treating you for it, even if he thinks you dont have it.. All these dust storms here in Phx lately bring in the virus.. once you get it, you have it, from what I hear there is no getting rid of it, just keeping it under control..
