I concur with Al and DMP. I have nothing bad to say about Calex, and in my short time there was treated exceptionally well. As they said, a driver can do a A WHOLE LOT WORSE. In the end, the combination of my wife's health issues at the present time, coupled with that Boar's Head run which just sucks, put the wheels in motion for me to leave. I'm back local hauling asphalt and stone, home every night, and doing ok.

Still, I wouldn't hesitate recommending Calex to a driver looking for a good company, and if/when the situation allows it, would definitely return if they'd have me.

It is definately worth it to me. I went from Ga to Pa and back down to Va.and I get a green light in every state that has prepass. It is good you got the glasses so you can see the little green light.:biggrin_2559:

Well I have been here 6 months now and still like it ok. I doubt that I will ever love another trucking job again but this place is ok. What seperates this place from others is the people in the office, especially the dispatch office. I can count on 1 hand the times I had to sit waiting on a load and I am usually preplanned 1-2 loads in advance. My dispatchers take care of me and I get all the hometime I need.

Good luck to all the guys that left and may God Bless you and keep you safe. Btw John now that I am at the 6 month mark I guess you can pass go and collect 250.00 and buy dinner next time.:biggrin_25523: Just kidding brother, You bought last time thanks.

I almost forgot about the glasses JohnBoy, I myself don't where them but it shouldn't be hard to get use to them.

I just hope for your sake they ain't the kind that are like 4 inches thick, like the coke bottles, you know the kind when you can see the guys eyes from other side of the parking lot Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!

The flatbeds are out of Tennessee. The drop deck in the yard is used on occasion. I've pulled it a few times. I ran van and reefers.

Yes, and a majority are automatic. From what I understood there are 10 new ones coming in august and supposedly they are selling 5 and keeping 5. The new trucks go to coast guys then their old ones get handed to regional guys who's old ones go to the local guys. I have truck 23229 which is an 04 with almost 800,000 miles on it.

    groundpounder Thanks this.
