I've had four steaks at a TA before. But, I don't ask for anything other than the steak. I couldn't eat the potatoes, eggs, toast, etc four times over. But, truth be told, the second and ensuing steaks are never as good as the first. They're certainly not giving you the best ones they've got.
To me, TA is overpriced for the quality of food and the only benefit is when I'm really hungry the all-you-can-eat is a good deal. But, that's few and far between. Plus, I'm trying to lose weight so AYCE is a bad idea. -
Can anybody make their minds up here?blktop-bucanear and Freebird135 Thank this. -
Our minds are made up! And WE ARE GOING TO COMPLAIN!

I didn't buy dinners, I bought food, and they weren't getting starved out, they just weren't making much money, like everyone else in that boat.
Now... the existence of starving people and fat, over-eating people has happened simutaneously for many years... so why should it be any different now? -
They should honor what the ad says. If it says "ALL YOU CAN EAT" they should honor it. If the sign says:
"ALL YOU CAN EAT*
*(unless you eat too much and the manager throws you out) "
then they should be able to cut off the gluttons who never stop eating.
Running an "all you can eat" deal is a gamble that restaurants and buffets have to take. They bet that the majority of their customers will eat less food than what would equal or exceed the price of the buffet and turn a profit. Well you win some and you lose some. Every once in a while some fat ####### waddles in and pigs out for 3 hours. That's the cost of doing business.
In fact, until the government ###### everything up, that's how insurance companies used to work. The majority of their customers pay a premium, but don't file a claim. Some customers do file a claim, and they lose money. But in the long run, they turn a profit. -
I've never been able to eat more than two steaks at a TA. The reason is that even though it only takes them 10 minutes to cook the first, one, it always takes them at least 30 minutes to cook the second one. By then I don't have TIME for a third, even if I still have room to eat another one. I just gots ta GO by then.
