It Appears these Drivers have decided they like annoying others with an extra pair of lights.
I have noticed a lot of newer SUV type drivers using them. Maybe they forgot to read the notice: for use in inclement weather in the owners manual. but hey their buddy joe said it looks cool dude! so now these goof balls think "Hey, I am cool with my goof ball headlight blinding on coming traffic". Bling for your car or truck.

    LOL.....:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

Wannabee's, huh?? Thats a good one....

Im not sure what kinda laws they got up'yonder in Maple Leaf country but down here in the states, Id make sure they're aint no smokies around cuz if you flip them KC's on, I guarantee ya, you'll be the first one to get a ticket, you pull that stunt. A buddy of mine did this back in highshool one morning goin to school. He flipped'em on cuz he "thought" the car behind him had their brights on and to his dismay, it was Mr Johnny Law... Next thing he saw was the red and blues....... He got a good deal tho. Ethier cut the wires or get a ticket........

I dont use them as much in my cascadia that much unless Im on 2-lane highways and thats mostly for deer. I did use them however on my previous truck because the headlights sucked. The lenses were so scratched that barely any of the light was able to shine through....

It appears to me these drivers like annoying others about their lights.

Buddy..... they're fog lights. FOG lights. If you want to see deer, get SPOT LIGHTS. All fog lights do is annoy the hell out of everybody. Give it up, you're not cool for using fog lights when they are practically useless. I have fog lights on my truck too. The switch is dusty.

BTW, what I said before was obviously a joke. But really, I actually did get my back up lights from overseas. I bought them because my yard is just out of town and there's no lamps installed yet. Unlike you, I don't use any of my lights for blinding people. I pass through the scales every single day with them for the past 6 months with no consequence.

derp, I use my back-up lights to sea dem deerz better. durrrrrr.

No, they are not fog lights. If they aint yellow, they are road lamps. But I can see you wont get it so enough with that part.
I dont want to see deer, I want to watch for them and even though my ROAD LAMPS dont do the job as those "moose lamps", or whatever yall call'em, they still do a failrly good job at illuminating the road sides, especially on 2-lane highways.
No, all them ROAD LAMPS do is irritate the kind of people that would b***h about getting kicked in the arse with a brand-new pair of boots.

Who said anything about using them to be cool? When I used them on my old truck and on my new truck, it was for a purpose.

Then make it sound like a joke because in my opinion, there was nothing "obvious" about it being a joke.

Again, the only people getting "blinded" by the #### things are the ones who "think" they are getting blinded by them. But of course, there is a valid complaint for the aftermarket ones, those German ones you spoke of to name a couple.
Apparently, you didnt get what I was saying. Nine times out of ten, its not illegal to have them on the rear of your vehicle because as far as the law knows, you only use them for backing up. Until you bring'em to life on the highway and blind the piss out of someone, thats when they would go from OK to illegal.......

What the hell is this sposed to mean? Either yer way off base, or you have no idea what I was talking about in my first response to you.

I know you like to think you know more than the people that design and build auxiliary lighting systems, but you don't.

Driving (L) and fog (R) lights. Note each row is from the same series of lights, but what differentiates the light's purpose is the lens fluting.

    You believe everything Wikipedia says?

True fog lights are yellow for a reason. These road lamps really wernt designed for use in fog. they may help because of the lenses, but them white lights reflect off the fog particles, and also, Wikipedia even said on wet pavement, you can still blind yourself.

You wanna find some more questionable information??

Road lamps?!!! Isn't that what lined the streets before electricity?

Or possibly on the side of a carriage many, many years ago?

Ah yes, that overwhelming need you have to be right. Anyhow, when you find any factual information that disputes the Wikipedia article, I'll be happy to read it. I noticed in your frenzy to point out the "questionable" Wiki article that you skipped over the SAE standard for fog lights I also quoted (I arranged them in that order on purpose because I was quite certain you would do that :biggrin_2559:). You do know who the SAE is, right?

He consults for SAE and makes $1000 a week... which is around what he makes at CRE... that's why he's always right, and we'll always be doomed to be morons.
