DUDE!!! Nice! Been here over 5 years, newest I've had was a 2008 Columbia with 121000 on her. Was in it over a year when it started having serious re-gen problems.

You know AZHammer, I just read your posts and you've "inspired" me, let me explain. I am at a point in my life where I Need to find a good career not just another job, you know? I am 37 and live in Las Vegas, NV and i am currently deciding on which cdl school to attend. i have read and listened to countless videos about trucking and kinda know the good and the bad....I think. But i have decided to make trucking a career. Your posts sound so exciting and wish you the best out there, stay safe and maybe I'll see you on the road someday!!!!!

Yea, I did luck out ! I love this truck, lots of new'ness to get used to but thats normal be it an old truck or new..
Today I got my SDD course complete, Scottie was great, time passed FAST.. I went over to my DM and pushed my PTA back to 1800 only to find they had me set for 1200 tomorrow.. good thing I went there. So Im just sitting here at Phx terminal waiting to take the eLog class at 1300-1330.. Rest of the required courses are Log, Sim, but I have plenty of time to take them, so Im going to get out on the road and make some miles.. I mean whats the point of having a truck if its not rolling, right??

I for some reason cant get my blackberry to post pics here, so Ill have to find a USB cable to hook up to the laptop and post pics.. Ill try one more time, then call it, not a tech person, and hate asking for tech help.. :/

Thanks for all the comments, hope to see ya out on the road one day !!
More to come from the road...

    -=Peace

If you prepare for the good to not be as good as you think and the bad to be worse than you think ... then you should be alright.

AZH: I can't post pics from my Droid, either. Says the feature is not available. Or something very similar.

NCKid, I cannot say what will happen at other terminals. At Troutdale, the driver is not forced to be out two and in for one. If the driver only wants to be home two or three days, it is up to the driver. Availability of trucks is not a problem at Troutdale. I can say that all new drivers at Troutdale start out on the fleet that includes Family Plan drivers.

As for the inner workings of other terminals, I have no idea. None of that stuff applies to me, though. I'm not a company driver.

I just went to Troutdale for the first time ... it would appear there is not a shortage of trailers there, either ...:biggrin_2559:
