Those "morons" DO allow you to get stuff done at TA and other places. I have been in two TA shops in the last month...
And yet still, (I know I am not alone here), I still love the company. Yeah, I have had shop stories, but they have also done me right in every instance I needed them to. ALOT of it is determined by the attitude you carry with you when you talk to them....
Are they perfect? No! Are they anywhere near as bad as they are being made out here? NO!!!!
I haven't been posting as much only because I am WORKING!

Romans is alive and doing very well! (except for the six extractions I have to get done at the dentist next month)....
Don't let them fool you, KLLM is alive and kicking... These rumors about repos, low miles, bankruptcy, etc are just that... Rumors.
Consider... Some say the company had 128 cascadias repoed... Yet right after, the company had the credit to go buy 50 new volvos???
My miles keep going up... And so do my friends who is a die hard company driver... He averages about 3100 miles a week... Me being regional average 2100 but with percentage pay I make more than otr...
The company just EXPANDED into intermodal also...
KLLM is going strong... Don't listen to the hyperolltide88 Thanks this. -
For real, id like to tell you what I know but I just can't for reasons I M not allowed to talk about or even acknoledge that I am aware of... All that to say, I'd tell ya but then I'd have to kill ya!
ROFL
GIVE IT A RESTRed Hot Mess Thanks this. -
The article I read a few years ago was about intermodal at KLLM.
Not just involved, but switching over completely to intermodal.
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Good to hear from you Romans612, it HAS been a while !!! -
Conversely, I half admire Romans for his loyalty to his employer/business partner, and half think he is foolish to think that just because he hasn't been screwed yet that he wont eventually get screwed.
I know absolutely nothing about what goes on at KLLM, however it seems to me that any driver/dispatcher/mechanic who thinks they have a real idea of the inner operations of a large corporation is dillusional. But that is just my opinion based on my experience, I could be wrong.trucker43 and Red Hot Mess Thank this. -
Well, all I can say is good luck then, Romans et al.

I am not naive, nor am I in the "honeymoon" phase...
I am just saying that as far as the BIG picture goes, KLLM has treated me very well.... -
From what ive seen you have to have a good attitude towards your job and take the good with the bad im a Soldier and as Long as you treat everyone Well and respect there job they will also respect you and be more will'n to help you out iwas just in iraq last year and understand that to drive truck's and Make a good living you must be humble and well mannered and be organized and professional iAlso admire Roman's Cause he has the type of Will And Drive that iWould like to have once i Arrive at KLLM my Uncle is still there truck'n Hard and as Long as you place God First and Keep Motivated you Can Do All Thing's and the Company will See That And try it's Best to keep you Runn'n
