This is for most newbies and some not so newbie drivers.

When out on the road, PLEASE stop all the story telling unless it's true, most drivers that have been out here a while can tell if a story is a lie or not.
Not sure why some feel the need to tell false stories out here, but it's getting old!, Is your life that dull? are you just that lonely?

Had some rookie drivers, tell me stories of there extensive driving career, when there 23 years old, example: I've been driving for 10 yeares (13 when started driving), Oh I've also was a master welder for a very large company and Im the one who set the standered for safety while welding with that company and they gave me a HUGE bonus, and ect ect ect.

Enough is enough, Not sure who you guy's are tring to empress?, but if your a new diver just not wanting to let others know your a new driver, you be better off not saying anything, you would give a better empression of yourself if you where just honest about your driving career.:biggrin_25510:

They're practicing their BS skills. How can we expect them to achieve even JourneyMan BSer without practice? We should show patience and understanding during these early attempts as BS, and encourage them in their efforts...Us Master-class BSers could even offer hints and tips, so the newer BSers have an opportunity to learn from the best. Don't let BS slide the way driving has slid into mediocrity!

I wonder how many drivers for the big mega-fleets are really "good friends with the terminal manager at Little Rock" & got their trucks "turned up to triple digits!"

I don't know, .. but I don't seem to recall ever getting my doors blown off by a 110 mph Schneider truck, LOL

Good point but as with anyone new to any career I think the need to 'tell a tall tale' is part of feeling more like you are 'in the crowd' and not so new. I am a nurse and I have heard my fair share of stories from new nurses that 'saved this person' or was responsible for making a new dressing etc. Just the nature of the newbie beast I think.

I think this thread was started because of that steering wheel holder who got his CDL in a box of cracker jacks, who was talking about fake injuries and stealing freight and leaving piss bottles everywhere.
