Are they overpriced? If I import a Kenworth to Europe it's more expensive than any Euro truck and I also get less for the money and higher operating costs.

    Scania man Thanks this.

A dutch friend of mine quoted a new 3 axle 560 hp Scania with manual gearbox last year, price was about 117000 Euros without VAT. No other taxes or duties, VAT you get always back and the rate is different in different countries.

    lets take a one example

560 is same strong as 580was because better torque and power curve also all SCR engines are little stronger ....

basic version in my country ( my country offer best basic equipment vehicles in europe) is 88000€ that is truck with cr19 cab without retarder manual transmission ......

if you want something better(topline cab all spoilers xenon headlights lot of electronic things alloy rims retarder AMT transmission leather lexury seats ...... truck should cost about 105000€-110000€ without tax in my country tax is 23% but usually we dont count tax as expenses because when you earn some money you dont have to pay tax for same amount because you buy new truck or whatever......

but when you buying truck scania will give you discount so similar truck can cost 92000-95000€

i know for a case that one man in bosnia buys two r620 with best equipment available trucks were euro4 and price was 128000€ scania give him a discount and each cost 115000€

scania always give some discount on some equipments

so now side skirts and xenon headlights are very cheap

    115,000 x 1.23 (VAT) = 141,450 Euro

Which is "only" 204,000 US $ for a daycab

You are all full of bulls*it. Bur still defend socialism, what a brainwash, hahahaha. But hey Scania is the best - problem is you will never afford to have it

most people dont need that specced truck average tractor here cost 75000-80000€ with anything you need

on this 115000 you will get discount, we dont count tax in price because state will return your tax back to you not day cab
you get topline for that price

for our work in construction scania is not best choice because our market is more oriented on german manufactures in this segment

if you are interested in this

4axle tipper new cost about 115 000€ if you buy it as on your specs without tax this is one of basic models without any special things

usually include about 440hp engine 16speed gearbox extended cab 110000lbs rated (9+9+16+16ton)
engine brake without retarder air condition and all necessary with 3side tipper body

but if you want to buy it new from traders in germany ( they buy 200-300 same trucks and get huge discounts) truck is from 75000-100 000€ depending on bodywork who sales it and demand on market

currently there are few nice man tgs with 2side tipper 480hp(480 is 10000€ more expensive than 400hp) 8x6(+10000€ than 8x4) bordmatic(+4000-7000€ more than regular sideboard) for 75000€

And on the VAT tax: you can deduct it only if you receive it from your customers. You better have dam* good customers who can charge 26,000 Euro just in VAT tax first year. Boy, you are duped and don't have a clue

If daycab Scania is $204,000 how much would be Scania with 70" sleeper? Would $300,000 be enough?

no in first year you cant start with so new truck first no one will give you so large credits

you will probably start with 10year old truck work for year two or for some time to earn some money get a credit rating than when you get some money you just take all money from bank ( money+tax) and at the end of year you have lot of loan in tax to your country than you get new truck pay tax and you dont have to pay that tax which you take earlier from bank

longline went never in full serial production they have build only limited series of trucks

it was only offered as 580hp engine full air suspension side skirts alloy rims retarder opticruise(amt) with foldable laders

leather seats TV hi-fi sound system microwave big fridge 2 big bunks ( one of them has 1ft thick mattress...) fresh water..........

lot of other safety equipment price was 145000€ without tax for 4x2tractor it was offered only as tractor

    4x2 -145
    6x2 ( single or twin tires) 154000€
6x2 with steerable tax axle i dont know but slightly more than normal 6x2
6x4 depending on how strong you want but it
and 3of 8x4 were build ....dont know price

currently laxa sv offers to customers longline for +15000€ as special order
