How did you get the Cessna to Hawaii, by ferry?

The winds are something terrible over the Ilands...how did you handle it?
What size and make Cessna do you own?

Do you also own a Yacht?...if so can I ride in it?

LOL no I have no yacht. My aircraft is a Cessna 152 with a small 190 HP Continental engine. I had it shipped in a container from Dallas when I purchased it.

I thought so...cause I use to take pilot lessons...and I know those things don't have cross pacific fuel endurance...

    Cessna 152...

    I took lessons in a 172 or 170...I forget...cost more...but much more roomier...
The worse part about taking lessons was having the instructor constantly barking orders at me...I never had time to just enjoy the 'flight', while flying with instructor...
Sadly I never completed the lessons...came so close though...

I got my private back in 1967 hoping for bigger and better things, but am just enough color blind to not pass color test, so no night flying and my flying came to an end. Worked for TWA for 38 years and a number of years as crew scheduler.
I would like to get some dual time just to see what all I remembered.

For some reason, whenever I come to this thread...I feel like I'm in a far off exotic land...
I've never even checked to see what section it's in...
