I read the law and it is the same as a personal license even though cdl.

I even checked several legal sites.

Here is one that supports it as such for cdl and personal car.

Unfortunately, most legal questions such as this are above most people because they do not understand that the cdl is not commercial until in a cmv.

I must say OH law is assinine.

Line 1 they say any measurable amount. Then in the very next line they say .04

    Which is it Ohio?

I see some repetition, but there are a few small differences...

I won't be going to Ohio just to have a few drinks and test the actual perameters of the law, not even for the sake of winning an argument on an internet forum.

I don't drink either, so it puts me out of it too.

Oh, I drink, I'm just not going to Ohio anytime soon, and don't have any connections after getting whacked for DUI.... like so many cop haters THINK cops do..

I live in the Buckeye, the .04 thing is alive and well. I know a flatbedder, blew .0575 on his motor cycle, dui because of the cdl. I live in a smaller town, the local police eat this up.

What little I do consume, I do so on foot or with a cab.

Might I suggest that you keep the link to the attorney I posted.

He seems to think they are incorrect.

But, I had previously stated that the police were probably running this as a cdl driver.

    Now, a thought.

Know of any drivers in Ohio, that quit driving and still have a cdl and not a personal license?

What will the police do then?

I have no idea, as I don't deal in hypotheticals. You have a a cdl endorsement in Ohio, whether you drive a cmv daily, weekly or never, the endorsement gives you authority to operate a cmv. Your bac, in Ohio, is .04.
