I agree those vehicles hauling light loads don't need it, that's why most of those big fleet trucks out there have 10 or super 10's but I was simply saying that out here they are no good for the majority of work.

I like a twin stick that is what a learned on with a screaming jimmy in front of them. as for the 18spd for show.. that shows what you know about the trans. back in the day you had to have alot of gears because you didnot have alot of power. The 18 was first put behind these mega horse power motors because it was the only thing known to beable to stand the torque the motor made. In one truck I had it had a13spd with a 4spd aux behind it so i could go real slow and start heavy loads on steep grades. had a 10 and a 4 also 6and a 5 tri-plex 12spd spicer 16spd spicer. Thats just some of them. No an 18 is not a status thing. If you really believe that you might want to go back to school and learn more before opening the mouth and showing how much you don't know
