In terms of the test the pretrip is not that hard. Too much to type here but they have also simplified it some. Like lights you no longer have to repeat for each light. You can say I am going to check each and every light in the same manner then do one and then identify each light. You still have to mention the reflectors and the tape at each spot. They give you all the information. You just have to come up with a system.

For me I followed each component to it's end. then let that guide me. Like I did the coolant res. then hoses to the block and pump. then the pump DONE. Then the compressor followed the airlines Done then the steering pump lines linkage gearbox castle nut. Done this left me at the leaf springheaded to the brakes and wheel. It worked for me ymmv.

Totally agree. The FM is not looking out for your best intrest in this case. Either your instructor is working behind the scene with the FM to keep you on the truck, or the FM doesnt give a crap.

 

I am new to this forum but have read most of the posts & have decided to apply to Prime in a lil while but i am a bit confused about training locations for PSD. Is training only done in MO or do they also train in PA? being from NY (not NYC) i assume that Pittson would be my home terminal. Pittson is about 3 hrs down I81. U2 or IP can ya help me out a lil bit.

You do your PSD out of MO, as that is HQ. There is another guy here from NY state, he acutally posts on this forum. He is goin through PSD right now
