It all depends on the company.
Most will ask for a urine test, even that will take 30 days or so to remove.

If you are asked for a hair sample, there is no way around it, because if you refuse, its just as bad as getting a positve test.

"Fair" is subjective. It was a stupid thing to do, which you obviously know. That being said, it's my understanding that hair samples do way more than just say "yes" or "no." They tell you when a drug was ingested, what the drug was, how often it's been ingested (one time or multiple) and also shows when a drug was NOT ingested.

I'd say you'll be ok but I certainly would not ever risk it again. An entire career/future for one glorious 3-hour panic attack? You can drive for England and do that without breaking any laws

Check out what is called the macujo method. It's a way of cleaning out your hair and from what I have heard, works well for a light user or in your case a once only use. Good luck.

 

Who;s to say you messed it up? Look at it this way... if you've already decided to go with Werner, what would it hurt to call Schneider and just outright ask them about it? What are they gonna say - "no, sorry, maybe try Werner."

It was a mistake - not the end of the world.

 

In the case of most hair tests they will go back 3 years. Out of those 3 years they may see a very fine trace. It wont be enough to label you a user. They will label it "Inconclusive". If you're even asked about it your reply should be as follows: I've never smoked weed. I have never smoked in my life.

Two hits off a hooter probably won't cause you any grief. It takes way more THC than that to show up in your hair. I wouldn't sweat it.

Heck, I was around people lighting up the good stuff all weekend. Didn't imbibe myself, although the offer was there on numerous occasions. I am not worried about any drug test.

There is a threshold they look for on THC metabolites. It would take way more than two hits once in your life to reach that threshold.

Just don't do it again.

 

A hair test only goes back 90 days. If a company is willing to spend a substantial amount of extra money they may go back 6 mo. Generally, an 1.5 in. of hair is used for the test. Hair grows at a rate of .5in./mo. Drugs ingested 7-10 days before a test will not show up. There is currently no way to cheat a hair test as the drugs are present INSIDE the hair not on it.

 

Who does the hair test now ? That has to be costing companies $$$$$ over the piss test
