Anyone know if that will accept the Go Power 1750 Watt Inverter HD (I read somewhere they require 4" separation between the post)? Also, does anyone have any experience with swapping the CB at the shop? Did that include the antenna as well?

    Thanks!!

what you want the long answer...?

    ok

yes they will install a Go Power 1750 Watt Inverter HD but realy why would want to spend that much for it....? it only has 1500w continuous power, Surge power capability (peak power): 2100 Watts, Dual ac receptacle. a road pro power drive 1500w inverter has the same 1500w continuous power, better Surge power capability (peak power): 3000 Watts, 3 ac plugs, and 2 usb plugs for less money

no they don't require 4" separation between the post.

yes they will install your cb

yes they will install your antenna in the factory mount but will not tune it

Can you later pull the rig yourself and insert your own SWR meter? I'm guessing it's best to go with a tunable antenna since you can't play with the coax or mount. Great info on the inverter, I can see why everyone stays with the Cobra.

Thanks Flood, when most starter companies have about the same rap, it becomes the little things that start to matter the most when building my short list. I've been very impressed with what I've heard about USX in the forums and elsewhere. I'm especially impressed with the focus on driver comfort and you do seem to get a "fair" amount of loads most weeks (I’m hoping this is typical). I’m not as worried about getting home very often, so how I live on the road means a great deal to me.
