That is what a cell phone is for. -
It's become a tired debate at this point. I doubt we're going to convince those who have no CB or those who never turn it on otherwise. I just wish they'd shut up and stop whining about it when they roll up on backed up traffic at the last minute because they weren't listening.
groundpounder, KE5WDP, virgil tatro and 1 other person Thank this. -
had mine in my truck for 4 years and never turned it on.....

Ive always used 1 either the companys or my own. CB is turned on before the trucks starts to roll and aint turned off time the yellow knob is pulled at the end of the day. Times Ive rolled up on an accident and nothings been said the last 5 miles thats what p's in my boots, if your running nb and see a wreck on the sb side, is it so hard to throw a little warning sb's way? Then again its probably some of the guys thats posted here that dont have 1 or use 1.... if you dont want to be bothered fine your business but why cant ya make yourself useful and help another driver. if your ever sitting in a backup and hear some1 say the cause is a mouse ran across the road its me.. hollar at the muddog..unless its a bad accident i have respect then.
KE5WDP Thanks this. -
My galaxy99 is sitting in the back. I got tired of the BS on the radio so I put it up. Might just sell her. I have xm to pass the time

I have a CB in my truck for when I need it...all other times it is off coz i just know those same three guys are on with the same stupid dumb voice talking rubbish..dont matter where you are in the country..its the same 3 guys talking Kr@P

I always had one in the truck..only used it when talking to another company driver or loading at the plants. Other than that it was turned down.
It is nice to have in emergency situations tho. One morning in the fog...thick fog...i could not see my trailer fog...it felt like my trailer brakes were sticking....got on the radio and asked the pair of headlights behind me if he smelled/saw anything. sure enough.
