Hey, I've been driving solo for Swift for three months now. My first mistake was rushing training with my mentor. The Mentors will train you only if you ask them questions all the time, if not they'll just use you to make them high bucks while you make only $350. Swift is a good company, they have things they need to work on, but so does every company. Stick with them, its one of the biggest companies on the roads, if not the biggest.

Well, Day 1 is over we started with 19-20 people and ended with about 13.

Some failed the road test others were medical and another never made it to orientation because he had a problem rooming up with a black guy or any other race. He actually said it was against his religion to room with another man and left the hotel back to CT.

But other than that I will be coded on Thursday and I got my Comdata card and filled out various paper work including tax forms.

I may be going home on Thursday since there may not be a mentor available when we all finish the process. Which I hope I get to do since I have some unfinished business but anyhoo I'm gonna get some dinner and relax.

Oh btw we had a crappy breakfast a muffin or cheese Danish and some coffee or orange juice. For lunch we got pizza and tomorrow I will be getting a ham and cheese sub. Alrighty later all

The next student my mentor had pulls dry bulk tank up there in Cheeseland. Home several nights a week, and weekends. Got to have experience first.

I made 2 runs to DePere from Walmart near Rome NY. My GPS always wanted to drag me through down town DePere antique district. The place was a Chep pallet recycling place on American drive?

Lots of freight out of your area. Kimberly Clark, Proctor and Gamble, Versa paper, and Sonoco. I went to Marinette, Niagra MI to get some good long runs. There is a place a few blocks from the pallet company where I picked up napkins.

My favorite restaurant out there is behind a mom and pop truckstop on Lineville Road. Barley's Deerfield. I had my GF with me and got warm fresh banana, and coconut creme pie with our breakfast. Just don't order the brat patties. Nasty!

My recruiter sucks. He is about as enthousiastic as a vegetable. I wish I could talk to someone who actually likes his company
