Wow Scalemaster ! True story? And if true, do you have to bust Johnny? For the sake of the children .......

If your daughter has a restraining order out against some dirtbag, and I find him violating that order and do nothing about it...

Are you going to be happy with me then? The judge will certainly NOT be happy! I have no legal choice at that point.

And yes, especially when children are involved, Family Services or some other organization is usually contacted to help them out of the situation.

There was a reason Suzie had that restraining order against Johnny. He probably beat the crap out of her at some point. Just because he was able to smooth over her feathers doesn't mean it won't happen again.

I have seen it time and time again, she gets her *** waxed, calls the cops and he goes to jail. Then, he gets out, charms her back, promises to not do it again, then he does. And it's worse each time.

Too bad Suzie was thinking from between her thighs rather than from between her ears.

Also, if ScaleMaster lets them go and something really bad happens, WHO do you think will be held liable?

I believe ScaleMaster's state is a "shall arrest" state. This takes discretion away from the officer and mandates him or her to cart the restrained person off to jail regardless of whether it was a decision by the other person.

This legislation was an attempt to combat "Battered Wife Syndrome" (or whatever the right term is for it) ...I prefer "Stockholm Syndrome." Same idea.

    Keep tryin' guys...:biggrin_2559:

If you would stop feasting on donuts and coffee and get some excersize...
You could probably run a little faster and thereby raise your chances of getting in on the action.

    Good luck!

Agreed, didn't think of that.... was just thinking of mom and the kids stranded at some scale miles from home and friends.

That restraining order is a COURT ORDER. It isn't up to the LEO to make a "judgement" call on this one. The couple should have contacted the court and had the order rescinded. But of course, that is just too much trouble. . .:biggrin_25513:
