Hey guys first of all i am new to this forum and have a question on marijuana so please do not flame me or harp at me. Here is the deal, I am employed by a small company(4 drivers) and pull dump trailers local only. Employer does not drug test cdl drivers. I like to smoke my marijuana and I do it on my own time which means I am never under the influence on the job. Now, the only thing that i am even worried about is this... Say i smoke today(sunday) and tomorrow i get in a wreck, will they blood test for any wreck? I know thc does not stay in your blood stream long...and if i wasnt impaired at time of wreck would it still matter? Thanks!

Yes, you will be tested and you will fail the test...It stays in urine for 30 days, hair for months and blood, 2-7 days....

and it is only a matter of time until your company does random test you, it is the law, and if they are not doing it, they will be in trouble too.

Yes the dot require drug test on drivers of commercial vehicle that is involved in a accident whether you are at fault or not. And it will most likely be a urine test and marijuana stays in your urine for 30 days.

Even if you were not at fault, you may get the blame as you wouldn't be able to prove you weren't impaired at the time...Your career is a ticking clock waiting to stop...I'd recommend quitting one or the other...
