    The above post is from January 2010. Yes it was a free update. However there is a charge for the July 2011 update that was just released.

    Until now, the only update was the free one which was released last year. If you browse through old posts you will see numerous references to that free update.

    General info for everyone reading this thread - By the time they tack on shipping, handling, tax, tip, gratuity, etc., the total for the "update" comes to nearly $100.

    The only other charge is sales tax, which may or may not apply depending on where you live.

    When you called, you may have been misquoted the wrong shipping charge. I have had to fix a few that were accidentally charged $10.50.

    seems like i was charged the $10.50 extra or is there extra charges for Canadian orders because it does not cost that much for shipping and i know iam tax exempt and also the Canadian dollar is worth more than the us dollar

    ordered the map update on august 10th it is now august 30 still not got it was told it would be no more than 10 days --- what gives

    We have been shipping them out so I am not sure what the delay might be. I don't know how long it takes for US Mail to deliver from Chicago to your Canadian address.

    ( for some reason your order was hanging in limbo. I have taken the proper steps to make sure it is sent out today ) So hopefully i will get it soon

    Brian,
    I installed your update and now I don't seem to be able to search for Pilot or Loves travel centers at all any more. Those companies don't appear when searching for travel centers using Points of Interest| Along Route| Auto/Truck | Travel Centers. What gives?
