IMO they will probably fall all over themselves to make sure you get a decent sized truck as teams are a win-win for them. I was contemplating doing that with my GF except me training her. I kept my record clean so I could train her. She decided after riding with me for 3 weeks that she didn't want to drive for a living. By then I had decided OTR wasn't for me either. I just paid my dues and got a local gig. -

Yes, they do allow experienced new drivers to train with minimal time with the company. -

I guess both of you speak of what you don't know...only what you have heard! Wasn't that the first course in the CDL training anyway? -
As for the first course in CDL training, it is reflected Rule #1 which is found deeply embedded in TheTruckersReport.com rules: "Speak gently or strongly of what you know, whether you know or not."
Makes sense, no?
