Ok guys, "surrendering your CDL" has nothing to do with Prime or their policies - it has everything to do with federal law. It's exactly the same process you would go through with any company school, third-party driving school or a community college.

When CDLs were created, the law provided that you cannot hold multiple licenses, and can only be licensed in one state - this is exactly the same procedure you will go through in any of the 50 states. If you are required to obtain a permit to obtain your class A, then you must give up your existing license. IT IS THE LAW. That doesn't mean that you can't drive your personal vehicle... the CDL-A permit allows that, and functions as a drivers license.

    Everett Thanks this.

so do you think that i should redue my application and include the charge? or should i just let my recruiter know about the charge and why i didn't include it?
the only reason i am concerned is because everything sounds promising, but i don't want to make a wrong move and not be able to drive because of it. another question; if my license were suspended but only for something as small as not paying a traffic ticket, and once for driving with no insurance, should i include it? im not dishonest, i just figured since this stuff is all so old, i don't even remember dates on them...

Ironpony, i understood when you told me the 1st time and i was trying to explain how it was to everett. i still don't like it, but i understand. If i can get prime to give me a break on the employment gap i will happily surrender my cdl and get a cdl permit and join prime asap.:yes2557:

Next time you are in contact with your recruiter, let 'em know about it. There's no need to redo the app...

    getn2it Thanks this.

The best way to make that connection is to just park on hold until you get them. It takes awhile, but it works.
