Why not learn to speak spanish? Seems to me.....it would have been a job requirement a long time ago. We live in a global world.

And dont give me the crap about not having an official language. While thats technically true, what language is the Constitution, Declaration of Independence etc written in? What language do Congressmen speak? What language does the president give his speeches in?striker, American-Trucker, Nyman and 6 others Thank this. -

Settle down.........just thought if we pass laws, our law enforcement would be required to be able to communicate with ALL law abiding drivers.
-
the laws are ALSO written in English. If you go to a foreign nation they don't rewrite all their laws for you just to be convenient. Find another nation that goes through the language bs we do just to seem politically correct.
7122894003481 and Nyman Thank this. -
Josh, you may have spoken with an accent, but for somebody willing to listen I am sure y'all could communicate. If not then I am willing to bet you could have fell back to writing in order to communicate.
-
Awwwwwwww.......forget it! lol I am not talking you or I, I was referring to law enforcement employees...having it be a job requirement.
-
Why should it be listed as their job requirement? Last I checked the unofficial language of this country is ENGLISH. Once again having been to Mexico, as well as Germany I have met local officials and Law Enforcement who did not speak any English. If you have a major issue you contact your consulate.

If these drivers got their CDL's legally in the states, they can speak and read/write english. They are just lazy. When I worked as a warehouse lead at DHL, I dealt with these idiots all the time, and had them escorted off the property for trespassing. When you mention the words "police" or "border patrol", their english usually became loud and clear, of which I usually told them to leave the property.
