420's were an excellent little truck, as good to pull as the 480 without chipping, trouble free too

The 97 400 had some teething problems, they were new at the time but the rest were trouble free, no real problems just usual service parts

I had many problems with the dafs, buckets of ####e! Engine in one needed to be rebuilt at 230,000 and the other 540,000, both had Alot of gearbox trouble, lost count of how many times they were towed off the road

Right with you on that one....I've seen very few XF95s make the million kms....They mostly have to be stripped for one reason or another between 600,000 & 800,000kms in Irish conditions. I just don't understand why people keep buying them.
