Had a load from Nashville to Chickamauga . Could not make to receiver
before closing ( I called) , so I went to terminal in Cartersville . Next day I delivered first thing in the morning ( about 32 miles) , was told to call REID in personal Who fired Me for being out of route over 50 miles.
I was told ,I have cost the company about $ 200.00 which I offered to repay , just so I can keep the job. There were no other reasons ( per REID) , but still got fired . So for about 65 miles out of route YOU will get
fired. The bad thing is as a former student and only 6 months of employment I now owe Millis over $ 4000.00. Do not mean to bash Millis, They were good to Me ( up to firing) , just trying to tell new drivers to be carefull . If You have been fired or let go ,please let Them know too (even if its Your fault ).
p.s. feel free to flame and yes I have read the company policy handbook
just got fired

Seems like that was just a convenient excuse, not saying, just saying....Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
Do they route you? ,or provide you with the route you.get.paid on?
Most states are right to.work, but since there is repayments on the table, I would seek legal counsel on the legitimacy of this.
Of course most truck drivers are lawyers, so I suspect you'll get the answers. -
Did you let dispatch know you were going to be late? Just kind of hard to believe they would fire you for just going out of route 65 miles and no other reason.

That was just an excuse. You were fired before that. You have to do what it takes to deliver on time.
Why were you fired from Millis? -
Covenant would love to hire you.
as would other fine companies..... -
wow, nice to see Millis is still the bottom feeder they were when I started my big trucker career with them 17 years ago...
hope you find something quickly best of luck..Hanadarko Thanks this. -

Of course I did, and yes I have asked if there was anything else I did. Reid said no.
Will see in 14 days after I get My Dac report -
