Concord NH to Albany NY Truck Route

Discussion in 'Experienced Truckers' Advice' started by walterk, Oct 7, 2011.

  1. Any suggestions will be appreciated. The obvious choice mileage wise would be 123 to 9 to 7, but the big question is if these hwy's are even suitable for big rigs.

I do not recommened Rt 123 or rt9 over hog back mountain plus i do not know if rt 9 is even open the whole way yet from the floods. Plus rt23 does not run out of Concord. I run this area weekly and i just run down rt93 to rt495 to the mass pike rt90 over to albany. Time whise its a little faster and alot nicer ride IMO. Rt 9 from Brattlebore Vt to Bennington VT stinks, all hills.

^what he said. you can run it, but time wise and fuel wise you'll about break even. and that'd be on a nice sunny day. do it in a snow storm you'll never want to see those routes again. :(
