they were able to get online and get a western regional permit for multistate.

course, it was night time now so wyoming chewed me a new Ahole for not having lights on the load. almost picked up a $250 citation. the flipping load is only 9ft round. 3inches over the trailer. and the trailer is surrounded by lights for crying out loud. and the cab has 4 red lights on back that light up the #### near the whole trailer.

colorado don't sell permits at the scalehouse. you have to buy them from the state. which means weekday business hours.
SO KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN YOU GET YOUR STEPDECK.

you need yellow lights on top of cab. amber lights in front and red lights on back of load if you're going to be driving at night.

and don't forget hard hat, vest, and boots. a lot of flatbed loads go to places that require personal protective equipment.

    you'll need a broom.

a red light bar for loads that hang over the back. we're all equiped for those loads. you need 6 flags for daytime. lights for night time. 2 flags go on front corners of trucks 4 flags go on corners of load or trailer.

grab some rope and have about 4 lengths of chain hooked to rope. you pick up a load thats too high. you use the rope over the load to pull your chains up and over the load for securement. chains are too heavy to throw that high and over the load.

got moved into my new truck and home 12 hours later then planned.

harborfreight is having a sidewalk sale this weekend.

i picked up a 800 watt generator for $80. it's small and weighs 25 pounds. and a small 55 amp battery charger for $50. should i find myself with dead batteries or a dead truck in winter. i can provide myself with heat. cook up a meal. and a way to jump start the truck.

the less permits i have to buy. the less i have to fight to get my money back.

getting permits in some states isn't an easy task either. like colorado. and it's nice that there was a online vendor to buy permits from. or else i would be stuck in colorado till tuesday. cuz the scales don't sell the permits. and monday is columbus day which means a govt holiday. neither does oregon.

i can't wait to see how much fighting i'm going to have to do to get imbursed for the citation. i don't feel like i should have to pay for office F up.
