scania V8 in a f350

One of the first scania 140 V8 sold here in Holland is still running.

 

and on 5cil

i think scania have 5cil scr version engine already for more than year 250/310hp they are build on 9.3L platform euro4

 

I understand why V8 is used in F350. First of all V-designed engines are not so tall as six in line.
V6 diesel vibrates at idle, V8 is much smoother.

 

i believe you, those v8's really last forever if they are looked after

 

only problem is very rusty cab on 0series

but in holland they have specialised company who produce parts for old scanias so you can buy cab sheets from them

 

Do you know their website, my friend is thinking of converting a 1973 scania daycab to a sleeper for a show truck, he would greatly appreciate knowing about this company

 

i dont know but something with scania and vabis in name

maybe Holland know i will search for it tomorrow

 

I think it' s Estepe they have made also high roofs on streamliners.
